For those who have been following the devotionals this past week you may have picked up on a theme.
Tomorrow, within several denominations, is a Sunday devoted to mental health awareness.
I think it may be safe to say that one thing most people are seeking in life, no matter where they are from, their religious background, or status in society is peace.
Jesus said:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.“
Matthew 11:25-30
And in the Gospel of John He said:
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.“
John 14:27
In a world full of craziness and chaos it is important for us to rest in the arms of Jesus.
